All Talk
Irish people are known for their humour, light-heartedness and chatty nature but this does not extend to the topic of sex. Young and old, often find the discussion of sex to be taboo, embarrassing, and possibly shameful (Catholic guilt has a long history of condemning both the act and discussion of sex). How do we get Irish people talking openly about sex? The answer is All Talk.
All Talk is a branded, cross-platform campaign and design strategy that encourages the normalisation of conversations around sex and sexual health amongst the general Irish public, with a particular focus on supporting the work of the NCCA in the upcoming sex education curriculum and the HSE in the Sexual Health and Crisis Pregnancy Programme.
The campaign challenges the public to question if they are ‘all talk’ about the lengths they would go to, to not talk about sex, and instead promotes open and honest conversations about sex and other things, or in other words, to be All Talk.
Advertising, social media posts, educational packs and promotional items are used to support Irish people to explore their sexuality without shame and fosters confidence amongst the public to discuss sex and sexual health without awkwardness.
