Keep Your Head in the Clouds
Pay attention. Are you listening? Get your head out of the clouds.
Daydreaming, as we are often told, is a waste of time.
Yet research shows that a wandering mind can help someone to explore an idea, envision a future, construct personal goals and uncover information that has previously been overlooked.
By creating a newspaper that informs viewers on the effects and benefits of daydreaming, people will feel less guilty about their daydreaming habits and this will allow them to embrace their imaginations. The design and subject matter of the illustrations and illustrative type aims to spark creative thought in the viewers mind and give them a starting point for their daydreams.
A second, smaller book (not pictured) is also paired with the newspaper that gives insight into the beauty of a daydreaming mind by incorporating intriguing, layered imagery and words that float around the pages. The book depicts someone exploring possibilities, figuring out a solution and the bursts of creativity and idea generation a daydreamer experiences when they let their minds wander. This book shows how much can be achieved when we take some time to relax our minds.
Daydreaming is not a waste of time, but a gateway to creativity.
