‘Humans and Taxes’ is a reverse Dungeons and Dragons in the way that the characters from a fantasy world try to escape their fantastical world filled with magic, mythical creatures and worlds full of adventure to just unwind and play a casual game where they do not have any magic powers.
They don’t have to worry about what monster may lurk in the next corner and can have a fun time just pretending to have a stable 9 to 5 job, ordering takeaways in the evening and scraping just enough money to pay the bills. The reversal of Dungeons and Dragons to where fantasy creatures want to escape from their reality to basically our mundane every day life is a concept that is very amusing and interesting to me. Since they live in our fantasy but for those characters our fantasy is boring and an everyday life for them whereas this mundane and simple lifestyle is fantasy that they wished to live in.
