‘Monsters in the Shadows’ follows three once famous horror character actors struggling to come to terms with what their lives have become. People have lost interest in their work and have moved on to the next big thing – The Terrific Ten! In the world portrayed in this animated short, fictional movie characters are real people. They are adored by fans all over the world. Now these old friends spend their nights together in the same pub they have been going to ever since they made it big back in the 80’s. They’ve been served by the same bartender over the last forty years. They drink away their troubles festering away in their own misery. They feel nothing but anger, jealousy and regret for what has become of them. They may have passed their prime, but does that really mean it’s all downhill from here …?
