Nothing is Void
If everything is everything does that include nothing? If everything is nothing, yet nothing is not, then how can it be? Is it that everything is a paradox? Well it must be because everything is everything. This paradox of the all being, yet not being is at the heart of my animation Nothing is Void.
My animated short deals with themes of death and rebirth. I show the death and resurrection of my character as a means of metaphorically communicating his outlook.
After my character has deconstructed all of his existence from a bleak, objective point of view, he will be left with nothing, as he is not when he is acting from an objective perspective. He will find himself in a place void of meaning, a place of death and decay. Following his death there is nothing, a primordial blank space, from which only everything can be born. As he has undergone death he is then reborn in everything through the void. With his transmutation complete he now understands that Nothing is Void.
