When Did We Get So You
A dramatic play. The play was filmed in the Millennium Theatre on April 18th on a mutlicam 3 camera shoot on JVCs. After Charlie’s father dies, she is faced with multiple different barriers to moving on in her grief and her life. The most difficult being her imaginary childhood friend Flynn, who is unaware how or why she is back in Charlie’s life. As Charlie and Flynn try to navigate their reality, they are also met with real life issues, grief, drug abuse, family, relationships and old friends. Characters are inspirations of real people.
‘When Did We Get so You’ was an exploration in the inner child and childhood memories. As we grow and change so do our memories. ‘When Did We Get so You’ was an idea that came from my memory of my own imaginary friend from childhood and how you can use the ridiculous to overcome strong feelings.
