CauZe ‘N’ Effect
“CauZe N’ Effect” is a top-down shooting survival game implemented using the Unity game engine. Set in Siberian Russia, the story follows Violeta, an extorted scientist who must obey REOP’s (Russian Epidemic Outbreak Prevention Corporation) orders to ensure her daughter’s safety. Against her will, she is forced to release the airborne virus U.D.-20 into the atmosphere, turning humans into mutant versions of themselves.
To ensure her daughter’s safety, Violeta must follow Vladimir’s orders and release the airborne virus U.D.-20 into the atmosphere. Violeta was forced to go back into the laboratory and launch the virus. Seconds after launching the virus everything got out of control as people started dying when come to contact with the virus and coming back to life as mindless monsters with only one intention, kill everything on their way.
Violeta knew she had to act fast, on the way out of the launch room she found a security guard “Dimitri” shooting at the mutants. With no hesitation he handed her a gun and told her to shoot. Using each other’s help the two must find a way out of the building. Solving puzzles along the way and killing mutants.
This survival shooter does not just require the player to hit the target but also solve many challenging puzzles. Thrown into this apocalyptic horror world, the player will switch between the two characters, while fighting their way out of the facility.
