Aran Bradley

In a parallel world, a pink drug is so potent, it captivates anyone who tries it- it calls for them. Once they enter the world of the Dragon, it’s hard to exit. 

 The protagonist of the music video is a Hare, who finds himself unable to stop chasing the Dragon. He represents an addict fighting the urge to take another hit. 

The Pink Dragon is tall, beautiful and mesmerizing. She the symbol of temptation, craving and addiction- she is the personification of drugs.  

This music video is a mixture of rotoscoping and 2D hand-drawn frame-by-frame animation. The aim of this project was to make a visually appealing, heavily textured and grimy piece of experimental art, which focused on themes of drug use and the struggle to resist temptation. 

I had a fun challenge creating the animated backgrounds for this project and stepped outside my comfort zone with the art style we aimed for, along with gaining great experience with the editing and compositing of my first music video I hope to work on more music video projects in the future.  

 I created this music video in collaboration with Oliwia Deyna.
