Drowning Water
This body of work is informed by the inflation of plastic waste consuming our oceans and seas. Focusing on found objects in combination with special effects ink, the permanence of plastic is presented to the viewer. There is a disconnection with governments as well as the human race to enforce change that will diminish the volume of plastic waste dumped into our seas. In turn driving many species into an untimely extinction. The juxtaposition of the natural habitats and manmade waste reconnect humanities contribution to an epidemic that is soon to cross the line of becoming irreversible.
The use of experiential learning and reflection aims to allow the audience to comprehend the potential future of our planet but will introduce a more conversational approach to question our habits and their consequences that are now the reality of the largest ecosystem on the planet.
