Eat Your Fellow Man
Eat Your Fellow Man is a two dimensionally animated short film, parodying meat product advertising in a critique of industrial farming and cruelty of animals. I began this project to put my animation skills to the test while hopefully improving them along the way. I plan to us my creation as a portfolio piece to help me into the animation industry. Eat Your Fellow Man, also gave me an opportunity to create something humorous and gruesome, allowing me to have some fun with my artistic and writing talents. The art style and humor of my film was heavily inspired by the works of artists Mike Pitts and Edmund McMillen. Pitts, for his puppet like animation style and McMillen for his cute but horrific artwork. Additionally, this project gave me the opportunity to create many satirical posters and works of graphic design, which I have a deep passion for. I especially favor work from 50s America, with its overly peppy and colourful designs. Inspirations from those can be found throughout my film.
