Bloom

Bloom deals with mindfulness. Mindfulness is a form of meditation which focuses on the here and now. This piece reflects on a human’s mental journey to discover ones’ ideal self and how, through mindfulness a human can also bloom like a flower, becoming enlightened and fulfilled.

Using animation, a comparison is made between floral forms and mental health. The human circulatory system, representing human health and well-being is replaced with organic forms, concerned with the idea of mental growth and renewal.

The delicate flower is representative of the fragility of the human condition and the growth processes involved in a person’s life journey to self-fulfillment.

The piece is displayed to create a calming atmosphere, muted pastel tones and soft line illustrations are used to convey a sense of relaxation.
