One Day
“Who do you see when you look in the mirror? Who looks back … or what? “
Join Noah on a journey through a single day, where the mundane routines of life collide with the weight of past memories and inner turmoil. As he navigates friendship, work, and the shadows within, he discovers that sometimes, the hardest battles are the ones fought within ourselves. Will Noah find the strength to confront his demons and embrace the hope of a brighter tomorrow?
The Final Project module empowers students to explore personal challenges rooted in their intellectual and visual interests.
Inspired by the enduring allure of macabre themes in storytelling traditions, this project delves into the psychological and educational dimensions of horror narratives, drawing from renowned German children’s tales like Grimms’ Fairy Tales and Struwwelpeter. It investigates how horror intersects with cognitive and emotional development, examining historical roots, case studies, and theories such as catharsis. Through research and analysis across various media, the project illuminates horror’s impact on perception and culture, culminating in a graphic novel, “One Day” prompting reflection on existential themes.
